Safety First: Are You a Safety ‘Fanantic?’
February is the month that the Super Bowl takes place.
Some sports fans go over the top to root for their team. “Fan” is short for “Fanatic,” meaning “marked by excessive enthusiasm and sometimes intense uncritical devotion.”
Why do people pull for their favorite team so strongly?
It feels good when we feel part of something bigger than ourselves and stirs us to action. National OnDemand’s Safety Professionals tap into those feelings to help everyone learn to “produce our service safely” and lead safety in our organization.
I consider everyone to be a Safety Professional or Champion. Each and every one of us is responsible for our safety and the safety of the people we are around.
Remember That Your Efforts Matter
The sports-betting organizations usually give the NFL home teams an automatic three-point advantage. Although the home-team’s familiarity with the field plays in those points, so does the positive energy and cheering of the fans.
For our teams, personal interaction, effective written communication, and reminding each other that their actions are critical in “Safely Produce” what we do.
“Safely Producing” our service starts when we wake up, how we drive to work, and the vehicle and equipment inspections; our everyday activities set the tone for being safe in everything we do and with everyone we work with. If you see something, say something.
Keep The Goal in Mind
Enjoying the journey is vital to living a positive life; keeping the goal of being safe and lowering the risk tolerance of yourself and your team will help stir your enthusiasm. Celebrate the wins and learn how to be safer whenever you can.
The goal is to help yourself and your team be safe while achieving service excellence.
Anytime, Anywhere.
Until Next Time …
