Position Requirements:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.
- The employee may be required to travel within the United States up to 75-80% of the time and may be required to stay away from home up to 30 days at a time.
Education or Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years or more experience and knowledge of all aspects of fiber splicing including fiber testing and interpretation of testing results.
- 5 years or more experience of industry standard fiber splicing and testing equipment.
- Ability to effectively troubleshoot and correct fiber splicing issues and faults.
- Knowledge of outside plant safety procedures.
- Ability to direct crews and communicate with teammates and customers.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to think analytically and apply sound judgment, solve problems & make effective decisions.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, if necessary.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass drug, background, DOT & MVR screenings.
