Position Summary:

The Construction Coordinator will assist the Director of Operations with daily tasks required for the operation and management of the Construction team.

Primary Position Duties:

  • Coordinate basic construction projects for building, repairing, and maintaining HFC networks
  • Input data reports on an Excel platform.
  • Coordinate power supply meter setup with local power companies.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate entity to ensure all power supplies are inspected in a timely manner while keeping track of invoices and payments as needed.
  • Prepare system maps and/or print packages for distribution.
  • Coordinate permitting where needed.
  • Coordinate DOT compliance and physical of the internal team.
  • Tracks all activity for construction and reports accordingly.
  • Works with leadership to manage and track material receipt and issuance.
  • Perform locates as necessary.
  • Track vehicle tag and registration issues while helping to resolve any fines incurred.
  • Adhere to industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations, as applicable.
  • Know, understand, and follow company policies.
  • Assist the AR liaisons with inputting red lines, billing, or any other task needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested by Local Management.

Position Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting. However, there may be times that will require the employee to work outdoors in all types of weather and may be exposed to dust, fluctuating temperatures, and periodic high noise levels.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.

Education or Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years’ experience in office administration or other related fields in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and software applications.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal.
  • Ability to establish business relationships and work effectively with business and client contacts, as well as peers, end users and all levels of corporate management.
  • Ability to walk over all types of terrain in all kinds of weather.
  • Detail-oriented to accurately measure distances, using tapes or other measuring devices.
  • Must be able to differentiate between different sizes and colors.
  • Ability to read general system layouts from blueprints.
