Our new crew members, however, have the added advantage of our dedicated training centers and online courses which follow an industry-respected curriculum. We aim for absolute safety and unparalleled excellence in our work, and our uniform training platform ensures that our crews know exactly how to do the job.
Quality control is absolutely critical to success for National OnDemand as we expand across the country, but there simply aren’t enough labor resources in existence today. That’s why we’ve designed training centers that allow us to hire workers with little or no experience in telecommunications and teach them how to perform line work with the consistent quality we’ve come to be known for.
When applying for a career with National OnDemand, applicants need not worry about a lack of experience. Our training begins on day one and continues throughout the life of the employee as they grow with National OnDemand.
Fiber Splicing Training Center
- Fiber standards and industry fiber color coding
- Reading fiber design maps (portal) and fiber matrix
- Preparing fiber tails, mid-sheath, and fiber tray organization
- Preparing closure…tap, B/D closure, and OFDC
- Identifying tools and usage: Core alignment fusion splicer, cleaver, strippers, one click
- OTDR and IOLM testing
- Trouble shooting fiber networks.
