Position Summary:

Primary Position Duties:

  • Unload and receive all deliveries.
  • Load and log materials onto trucks and make notation of returned materials.
  • Ensure the warehouse is safe, accessible, and compliant with OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.
  • Ability to move and unload heavy and bulky oversize items.
  • Assist management in developing and executing materials flow and reconciliation processes.
  • Reconcile actual issued materials with materials usage reports from field personnel.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement inventory control and periodic full inventory count processes.
  • Perform cycle counts as necessary to ensure the accuracy of the inventory control process.
  • Operate a forklift using foot and hand controls.
  • Safely load construction and building materials into storage facilities, including the use of automated loading systems.
  • Maintain well-stocked and organized bays to facilitate efficient load building processes.
  • Use forklift to build outgoing orders for construction projects.
  • Safely load completed orders onto delivery equipment, following proper stacking methods and safety procedures.
  • Empty trash receptacles as necessary.
  • Keep staging areas clean and organized.
  • Follow safety procedures as outlined by the company’s safety program and the operator manual for forklift operation.
  • Maintain a current forklift operator’s license.
  • Perform all duties safely.

Position Requirements:

Working Conditions:

  • The employee will regularly work in a warehouse setting.
  • Majority of work will be outside in varying weather conditions.
  • Temperature variations and inclement weather are aspects of the work environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. and spend long periods sitting, stooping, reaching, bending, climbing, standing, or walking.
  • Overtime work may be required during peak business months.

  • Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • Stand, talk, and hear frequently.

Education or Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse setting or construction industry preferred.
  • Forklift experience required. Certification preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills and experience using RF Scanner.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.
  • Ability to push brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, etc.
  • Flexibility to bend, twist, and turn the body at shoulders, waist, and knees to handle materials.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.
  • Ability to adapt to weather conditions as needed.
  • Can adjust to noise levels within the warehouse.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
